Improve your ability to cope with the stresses of daily life.

Considered the "Mother of all Yoga's", Kundalini (pronounced KUN-da-lee-nee) Yoga encompasses all aspects of Yoga, while maintaining its ancient roots and the original teachings of Yogi Bhajan. Challenging and appropriate for the beginner to the experienced Yogini, Kundalini Yoga is a dynamic practice incorporating postures, meditation, breathwork and relaxation in every class. Practioners leave feeling energized and elevated with a renewed sense of balance.

Yogi Bhajan, Phd., Master of Kundalini Yoga and Mahan Tantric first shared the technology of Kundalini Yoga to the United States in 1969, to be applied as a practical science to improve people's lives. Yogi Bhajan was passionate about preparing people for the stress of our modern times (the Aquarian Age). Yogi Bhajan was devoted to spreading the teachings of Kundalini yoga so that individuals would reach their full potential. The posture sequences and meditations taught at Ma Yoga and Meditation are taken from Yogi Bhajan's extensive library of teachings.

What’s the difference between Hatha and Kundalini Yoga?

Kundalini Yoga is a complete yogic system that works all the systems of the body, mind, and spirit very quickly and effectively. Hatha Yoga is another powerful yogic system that works over an extended period of time, mostly through the physical postures. It takes 90 day of Kundalini Yoga to achieve the same effects of a daily Hatha practice over 22 years. The purpose of the two styles are the same. Kundalini Yoga is designed for our fast paced, modern lifestyle, as it is very direct and delivers fast results.

Are there levels in Kundalini Yoga

Everyone is welcome to try any class. Each class will generally have students with a variety of experience.

Why do some people cover their heads in class?

Covering the head is a technology for protection and energy amplification. When the hair is pulled up on the top of the head and covered with a natural fiber cloth, the vital solar energy in the body is regulated, allowing for an expanded meditative experience.

Can I take regular Kundalini Yoga classes if I am pregnant?

Yes, but please do not practice any of the heavy breathing techniques (such as breath of fire), navel exercises, or inversions. Be mindful of your body at this sacred time and practice only the postures that feel good for your body.
